Immunisation has repeatedly demonstrated to be one of the most effective medical interventions to prevent disease. The success of vaccines has resulted in a significant reduction in morbidity and mortality from many infectious diseases. As such Immunisation has become a vital part of general practice. The Commonwealth Government’s General Practice Immunisation Incentives (GPII) provides substantial financial incentives for practices to achieve over 90% coverage.
Perth Central and East Metro Medicare Local is always looking for ways to support general practice to improve their Childhood Immunisation Coverage Rates. We strive to ensure you have access to all the materials required to improve your coverage rates.
Our Immunisation Coordinator is available to provide support to practices on a variety of immunisation topics, from cold chain management to data cleansing. This support is available through one on one visits in your practice, telephone support and education events run throughout the year.
