PPCN operates a mobile Street Doctor Medical Service that takes primary healthcare to the marginalised communities of Perth, in their own environment. The service provides homeless and disadvantaged populations access to primary health care that may otherwise not be accessible for a number of reasons.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably skilled and experience individual, who has a strong interest in this area of community health, to join the team as the Service’s Clinical Coordinator. This is a full time position situated in Guildford.
The Street Doctor Clinical Coordinator will be required to coordinate all aspects of the Street Doctor program, including the development and continuous improvement of the service to facilitate the delivery of quality clinical care by the program’s staff. In this position you will be required to induct and oversee staff, develop and implement systems, policies and procedures to maintain a high quality health service that meets accreditation standards.
To be the successful candidate for this role you will ideally meet the following Selection Criteria –
- Hold appropriate clinical qualifications such as Registered Nurse or Mental Health Nurse;
- Have demonstrated experience in program coordination in human services or health programs;
- Have demonstrated experience managing and/or coordinating staff;
- Have excellent communication and relationship building skills;
- Have strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Be proficient in the use of information and communication technology;
- Ideally have experience in the primary health care sector;
- Have experience working with homeless and/or disadvantaged populations, which will be viewed as highly desirable.
