Membership
Primary Health Care Members of PCEMML are provided with regular information updates, targeted program support (based on funding), education and training, and are eligible to vote at general meetings of the company. PCEMML has the following categories of membership:
Medical Primary Health Care Members
“Medical Primary Health Care Member means a Medical Practitioner whose practice involves the provision of primary, continuing and comprehensive whole patient care to individuals, families and their Community as designated from time to time by the Directors within the Catchment Area and who is granted membership to the Company as a Medical Primary Health Care Member and is registered in the Register as an Medical Primary Health Care Member.” “Medical Practitioner means a medical practitioner as defined in section 3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (Cth).” Application Form – Medical Primary Health Care Member
Allied Health Primary Health Care Members
“Allied Health Primary Health Care Member means a person who is not a Medical Practitioner whose practice involves the provision of primary, continuing and comprehensive whole patient care to individuals, families and their Community as designated from time to time by the Directors within the Catchment Area and who is granted membership to the Company as an Allied Health Primary Health Care Member and is registered in the Register as an Allied Health Primary Health Care Member.” Application Form – Allied Primary Health Care Member
Community Members
“Community Member means a person who does not provide primary, continuing and comprehensive whole patient care to individuals, families and their Community as designated from time to time by the Directors within the Catchment Area but wishes to support the aims and objects of the company and who is granted membership to the Company as Community Member and is registered in the Register as a Community Member.” Note that Community Members do not have voting rights at general meetings of the company.
